KAM kicks off on high note

The first day of the Kingdom Affluent Masters (KAM) kicked off on a high note with believers being reminded of the need to align their affairs and business with God, the owner of everything.

Today’s class was the first of the two KAM classes with the second scheduled for tomorrow.

Themed “Financial Literacy” KAM is a component of the Apostolic Summit which starts today evening.

In her presentation, seasoned financial advisor, Shalom Guwuriro reminded the attendees that they need to start by surrendering themselves and their fincines to God first since He owns everything.

Quoting Psalm 50 v 10 “For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are Mine,” the speaker urged believers to align themselves and their money with the owner of the worth.

The following are some nuggets from the session.

# God is not surprised by plenty or less. No matter how much money you have, there are times that you face financial challenges, but that does not mean God has deserted you. Biblically, God has handled different cases of extremely rich people (Abraham, Solomon, David) and those who were extremely poor like Lazarus, hence He is never flabbergasted by how much money you have.

#Your attitude towards money contributes to your decisions towards money. Avoid seeing money as the only sources of your happiness, but as a mere tool of life,a simple medium of exchange. We should not be too fixated on it.

#The Holy Fund Principle. Every money you earn you either spend it, save it or invest it. The Holy Fund principle guides one to spend 50%, 10% tithe, invest 20% and serve 10 percent, give 10% to the poor (percentage, except tithe, is subject to be changed based on individuals)

#Most people spend most of their time drawing financial plans for companies they work for but foregoing the most important financial plans for themselves. Families and individuals should make it a habit to have personal financial Annual General Meetings where they draw financial templates aligning everything from the spiritual context, financial context, social context and even.

#Investment. In God’s Economy, there is always 100% profit if you invest according to God’s plan.

# Let’s invest in time and not procrastinate. (Eccl 11 v 4 He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.) The richest place in the world is the graveyard. People are buried with their ideas, before implementation.

#Create trust and leave a legacy for your families. Your money models are transferable to your children.

#Proverbs 16 v 3, All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the spirits. Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

#Psalm 90 v 17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!
